If you love to look at the world through the eye of a camera lens, you could be just the person Australian Photography is looking for.

Australian Photography is currently searching for amazing amateur photographers from Australia and New Zealand in their ninth annual competition.

The best entries to the competition will be celebrated with a showcase in a special issue of Australian Photography magazine next year.

There is also $30,000 in cash and prizes to be won.

The competition includes five portfolio categories - photo of the year, creative, mobile and junior (for entrants under 18 years).

One of the sponsors for the competition is Camera House. Owner and manager of Camera House Griffith said they also had a Photographer of the Year competition within the staff of Camera House.

“I have previously gained a top three in a category and the images are spectacular and are now used in our catalogues,” Ms Miller said.

“This closes in the next week and I believe one of the staff have sent in some entries already.”
