Celebrating during Griffith Easter Party

The Easter Party sidewalk sale is an opportunity to bag a bargain from one of Griffith’s many businesses.
Banna Avenue will be a hive of activity this long weekend Easter Saturday, with something for everyone to enjoy during the Griffith Easter Party.
There are restaurants and cafes, winery, accommodation, retail, cultural and produce experiences for residents and tourists alike to enjoy over the four days. Last year was hard on everyone, particularly businesses were forced to close due to COVID-19 restrictions. You can support those business owners by popping into their stores during this year’s Easter sidewalk sale.
Griffith City Council’s event coordinator, Georgina Horton said the sale would be a great opportunity to shop local and show your support and perhaps pick up a bargain.
“Shoppers can head to Banna Avenue, take in a spot of shopping, grab a bargain or two, a bite to eat and a cup of coffee and take in all that our vibrant main street has to offer,” she said.
Homegrown bands will perform throughout the main street, creating a festive atmosphere for the CBD.
Hula hoop performer, Dizzy Dilemma will delight you with her spinning hoops in Memorial Park and the Easter children’s crunch will once again be at the CWA park.
Tourism and Events Committee Chair, Councillor Christine Stead said the main street was the place to be this Easter Saturday.
“Whether it’s shopping, live music or the Easter children’s brunch, there really is something for the entire family to enjoy along Banna Avenue,” she said. “Just remember to be COVID Safe. Check in via the QR codes, maintain social distancing, and regularly sanitise. We want you to enjoy Easter while keeping safe and healthy.”
The Easter sidewalk sale is a step toward activating Banna Avenue thanks to a grant from the State Government’s Festival of Place - Summer Fund.
