Families with young children will be delighted to learn that Griffith Children’s Easter brunch will be on again this year.

The brunch, put on by the Combined Churches of Griffith, has been a fixture of the Easter weekend festivities for more than 30 years thanks to the tireless efforts of a dedicated and passionate team of volunteers and sponsorship from over a dozen businesses.

Member of the organising team Viki Dalla said the free family event had a COVID safe program this year.

“The event will be in the CWA Park on Easter Saturday,” she said. “The area allows for a big crowd even with COVID restrictions.”

“It is a morning of food and fun to celebrate Easter and the new life we can have in Christ.”

“We’ll have the big food tent, the big balloon, a big craft section and a monster Easter egg hunt.”

The day also includes a craft section that allows children to go to work on pieces of wood with a hammer and nail. The children can create their own masterpiece and then paint it. This is an adult-supervised activity.

Fusion Riverina will be there with all of the fun, quirky activities the children can’t get enough of, including a huge tug-of-war, parachute and stilts.

As you follow your child from one activity to the next, you can enjoy some great live entertainment.

The Children’s Easter brunch runs from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Easter Saturday, April 3 and is free, though adults are asked for a gold coin donation if they wish to partake in the delicious feast.
