Dana Cabrera – Griffith Working Hostels

Griffith Working Hostels runs two sites. The Shearers Quarters next to Pioneer Park, which is leased from Griffith City Council, as well as The Original Backpackers in Binya Street, which is leased from a private landlord.

Griffith Working Hostels can house up to 130 backpackers who come to Griffith to do their seasonal work for their Visa extensions or to work in the beautiful orchards surrounding Griffith.

They work closely with wineries, packing sheds, tree nurseries, car washes, restaurants, irrigation suppliers, farmers and growers, to ensure these businesses have the workers they need, when they need them.

Dana Cabrera’s role in the business is mostly administration, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, database management, and anything else required in the every-day running of a small family-business.
