A range of activities for young people are available for young people this spring school holidays thanks to the NSW Government's Holiday Break program.

The NSW Government is offering a range of exciting and free activities for young people this Spring school holidays thanks to the hugely popular Holiday Break program.

With more than 120 programs on offer covering everything from radio courses to cultural experiences and sporting workshops, young people will be able to expand their horizons, be entertained and stay engaged during the holidays all throughout NSW.

The NSW Government’s strong relationships with councils and community organisations means it has been able to facilitate a diverse suite of activities for young people encouraging creativity, skill development and community involvement.

Minister for Youth, Rose Jackson said the spring school holidays were a great time for young people to broaden their perspectives by learning new skills and hobbies, getting out into nature and meeting other young people.

“With so many great programs offering hours of entertainment and development opportunities, there’s bound to be something to suit every young person no matter where their interests lie,” Minister Jackson said.

“We’re thrilled to be able to facilitate these free activities to ease the financial burden on families, as we know how expensive it can be to keep young people during the school holidays.”

To make planning easier, young people and their parents or carers can find activities near them using the program’s interactive map.

Minister for Regional NSW, Tara Moriarty said she was proud to see a wealth of activities available to young people in regional areas during the spring school holidays.

“This is the kind of program that shows our dedication to creating rich and fulfilling experiences for young people in the regions who might otherwise miss out due to costs and the tyranny of distance,” Minister Moriarty said.

“The Holiday Break program allows young people to foster stronger connections to their local environment and the communities they belong to and with our increased support for travel in remote areas these opportunities are open to even more youth in New South Wales.”
