Griffith Base Hospital Welcomes Interim General Manager

Joanne Garlick will fill the role of Interim General Manager of Griffith Base Hospital.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has announced the appointment of an interim General Manager for Griffith Base Hospital.
Acting Chief Executive of MLHD, Carla Bailey said Joanne Garlick had held a range of senior-level management positions in her career to date, and most recently as Cluster Manager for the Young, Harden, Boorowa and West Wyalong Health Services.
“Joanne is an experienced helath leader who has operationally managed our Hilltops Cluster for some years,” Ms Bailey said.
“She has strong skills in operationalising strategic directions for the MLHD to improve patient experience and patient outcomes.
“Joanne has been with the MLHD since 2014 and has an excellent understanding of the Murrumbidgee region and the priorities of our organisation.
“This position utilises Joanne’s wealth of clinical, operational and business management knowledge in ensuring support for sites to meet national standards and budget requirements.”
Ms Garlick’s skills and experience are underpinned by qualifications in nursing, health science and management.
In 1996 Ms Garlick added graduating with a Master of Management from University Western Sydney, Nepean to her extensive list of qualifications.
“I’m looking forward to working in the Griffith community and continue supporting the great work of the health care team,” Ms Garlick said.
Ms Garlick will commence her role as Interim General Manager at Griffith Base Hospital from Monday, July 4.
