Bowls NSW has announced that the 2024-25 Men’s Division 1 State Pennant Finals will be hosted at Griffith Exies Sports Club from March 11 to 13, 2025.
The State Pennant Finals is one of the highlights on the Bowls NSW calendar, featuring qualifying clubs from regions spanning all areas of NSW competing for the coveted State Pennant title.
Bowls NSW CEO Tim Rowe said that starting Tuesday, March 11, 2025 people would witness nine of the best Men’s pennant sides in New South Wales go head-to-head over five rounds of sectional play.
“Two section winners will then play off in a winner-takes-all final on Thursday, 13 March,” Mr Rowe said.
“In a field that includes current Australian Jackaroos Ben Twist and Lee Schraner, the Men’s Division 1 State Pennant Finals is your chance to see some of the best male players in Australia take to the greens and battle it out for a coveted State Pennant.
“Bowls is a sport that is accessible for all ages and abilities and we often see Bowls clubs as the beating heart of many regional communities.
“Griffith Exies Sports Club is no exception here and we are excited to not only expose our sport to the broader Griffith community, but to put on an event that will attract people from communities across the State and expose Griffith as the exceptional regional community that it is.”
Griffith City Council has partnered with Griffith Exies as an official sponsor of the event, further boosting the profile of the event that brings together some of the best male bowlers in Australia.
The sponsorship reflects both Council and the Club’s commitment to attracting sporting events to Griffith, making this a fantastic opportunity for the region to showcase its vibrant community and local attractions.
Griffith Mayor, Doug Curran said he was pleased to welcome bowlers and their supporters from across the state of the area for the Men’s Division 1 State Pennant Finals.
“This tournament not only showcases the incredible talent of bowlers from across NSW but also allows us to share the unique hospitality and attractions that make our region so special,” Mayor Curran said.
“We look forward to hosting the players and supporters, who will have the chance to explore Griffith’s vibrant culture, local dining, and scenic landscapes while enjoying top-tier lawn bowls at the Griffith Exies Sports Club.”
The event begins on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Griffith Exies Sports Club and will reach a thrilling conclusion on Thursday, March 13.
Bowls NSW extends its gratitude to Griffith City Council and Griffith Exies for their invaluable support and looks forward to a great event.
