Griffith Women’s Shed was formed in 2018. The shed was formed to provide women aged 18-years-old and up to have a safe space to come and meet other ladies, have a cuppa and a chat and learn some new skills.

The shed is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 3pm. The Women’s Shed is located at the Griffith Showground under the grandstand. The organisation aims to help its members learn new skills and form friendships that last beyond its doors.

They enjoy helping the community through their various fundraising events. They conduct raffles, garage sales and much more. They also make cat toys to donate to the mini kitty community and have made toys to donate to the Griffith Base Hospital Children’s Ward.

The Griffith Women’s Shed is always looking for more people to become involved and at this time need Committee members. They are seeking a new President and a Secretary. Both roles are vital that they are filled to enable the Shed to remain open and operating.

The volunteers are hosting a meet and greet on Sunday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm with a free sausage sizzle at the Shed.

Transport for those that cannot get there themselves, can be arranged. Donations are always welcome.
