The CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia will be in Griffith on Thursday, November 2.
A lot of work has already gone into getting the Big Brothers Big Sisters program off the ground in Griffith.
CEO, Mark Watt invited people to join him and the city’s Mayor, Doug Curran and learn more about how they can help the youth of Griffith thrive.
“We are at a critical point in our desire to provide young people in Griffith with life-changing connections between positive role models/mentors and young people to unlock their potential and develop a greater sense of belonging and self-worth,” Mr Watt said.
“The program in Griffith has been started by local people in response to the needs of young people.
“We really need your help to enable this program to work.
“We are looking for mentors or volunteers that will help the organisation.”
The information evening will commence at 7 pm on Thursday, November 2.
Mayor Curran will address the gathering and Mr Watt will let us know all we need to know about making a world of difference to a youth’s life through mentorship.
