RDA needs your assistance

Griffith Leeton Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) has been offering disabled children the chance to ride, interact and care for horses and grown-ups alike in a relaxed and friendly outdoor setting for over 30 years.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Griffith Leeton RDA to suspend its programs last year. Now the charity is prepared to open its doors again, with a little help. Committee roles of Treasurer and Assistant Secretary as well as horse leaders, maintenance officers and more are vacant following the recent AGM.

Club President, Julia Groat invites interested members of the public to join them at an open day tomorrow, Saturday, March 6 from 10am to 11am. Ms Groat said she’s excited to see all the new faces this year and loves meeting the new people both volunteers and children.

“It’s exciting to see the volunteers learning and growing with us, and seeing them do things that they never thought they could do,” she said. This is also an opportunity to visit the new RDA Centre at Dalton Park.
